“Pant Pockets are not meant to carry your junk!”

Deformed Pockets...

Deformed Pockets...

Too often I notice men using their pant pockets as storage. In any single pocket, one is likely to find cell phones, wallets, keys, snacks, cigarettes (tsk, tsk, tsk), old receipts, sometimes even baby bottles. These various lifestyle paraphernalia are all jam-packed in the tiny compartment, creating that horrendous sagging look.

Dear friends, pants should flatter the shape of your legs and enhance your stature. Objects stuffed in your pockets automatically create an imbalance effect which in turn, is a detriment to the image you project.

The fact of the matter is your pockets are made for your hands, and only your hands! I can already hear some of you wondering, “So what do I do with all those things I need to carry around?” Well first, take a good look at them. I am fairly confident you don’t need half of all that junk. Second, make use of the pockets on your jacket; that is, after all, what they are there for. Third, consider acquiring a man purse. Yes, I said it, and why not?! It’s a practical way of carrying around all that junk, leaving your hands (and pockets!) free, and, contrary to what many may think, it won’t compromise your masculinity, as you will be a trendsetter. What could be more masculine than that?
